Shangri La 02

This was the final of my first year Experimental Production course. The assignment was to create a triad of prints [manually or digitally] and have enough copies of them for each person of the class. then each person will have a collection of the entire class's original artwork bound into a little book of their own.

in case it flew over anyone's head, it is a series of images that link together in any way.

so my Shangri La has a japanese twist to it. i felt like making it on this theme after hearing "Shangri La" by Angela [op of Fafner]

the gates are a symbol of spirituallity. the number of them are significant both in this piece and in japanese temples.
Shangri La is the name of a spiritual Utopia, which then became a name of an actual place.
